The SECO‑LARM SD‑996C‑NUQ is a universal electric door strike with field‑selectable 12/24 VDC and fail‑safe/fail‑secure modes, includes 3 faceplates for wood, aluminum, or metal doors, and features 2,000‑lb jaw strength. UL 294 and UL 1034 Listed.
• Operating voltage: 12 or 24 VDC ±15% (field-selectable)
• Current draw: 280mA @ 12VDC / 140mA @ 24VDC
• Operation: Fail-secure or fail-safe (field-selectable)
• Jaw strength: 2,000-lb
• Faceplates included: Aluminum, hollow metal, wood
• Dimensions: Aluminum/hollow metal 124×32 mm; Wood 202×37 mm
The SD‑996C‑NUQ is a versatile electric strike for cylindrical locking systems that includes three interchangeable faceplates — aluminum (4‑7/8" × 1‑1/4"), hollow metal (4‑7/8" × 1‑1/4"), and wood (7‑15/16" × 1‑7/16") — allowing installation on nearly any door type without requiring different strike models. The reversible non‑handed design fits both right‑hand and left‑hand doors with a low profile of only 1‑1/4" deep for hollow aluminum frames.
The strike features field‑selectable fail‑safe (door unlocks on power loss) or fail‑secure (door locks on power loss) operation, plus field‑selectable 12/24 VDC power (280mA/140mA), providing flexibility for different security requirements. It is solenoid‑powered with a 2,000‑lb jaw strength to resist forced entry.
The unit is UL 294 and UL 1034 Listed for access control and fire applications, operating from -10°C to 45°C with 85% ±15% humidity. The universal design with multiple faceplates simplifies inventory and installation across wood, aluminum, and hollow metal doors.
